Short Sands Beach in York Maine is a favorite summer vacation spot for many families. This particular morning was cloudy and overcast with a storm moving in. The bowling alley, arcades and many shops were busy as the beach was not. I liked the moody, overcast quiet look and feel to this image. You can't see it, but rain-drops were falling as I took this shot.

Welcome to my gallery. Though I love both oil painting and photography, my focus here is photography. I took up photography to build up reference material for my oil painting, but I found I loved it as an art form in and of itself. I enjoy hiking in the Central MA area and vacationing in Maine. You will find most of my work focuses on these regions, both beautiful and special in their own way. I feel fortunate to reside in Central MA, with my family, and live in the midst of such beautiful subject matter.
