The light of the setting sun was pouring down and made the tall grass on top of Dexter Drumlin in Lancaster MA glow a warm summer orange. A Trustees property, Dexter Drumlin offers picturesque, quintessential New England scenes. Queen Ann's Lace and other wildflowers were in abundance.The setting sun made the grass look like it was glowing orange and this single flower was highlighted by the warm glow coming from behind.
Welcome to my gallery. Though I love both oil painting and photography, my focus here is photography. I took up photography to build up reference material for my oil painting, but I found I loved it as an art form in and of itself. I enjoy hiking in the Central MA area and vacationing in Maine. You will find most of my work focuses on these regions, both beautiful and special in their own way. I feel fortunate to reside in Central MA, with my family, and live in the midst of such beautiful subject matter.
